I was sitting at Walmart with our bikes mounted on the truck when this complete stranger came up and started talking to me about biking. He was an older gentleman and had just started riding and he told me about this Hiawatha Bike Trail. As it turns out this trail goes from Montana over into Idaho and it’s on an old rail road line. This seemed like a really fun thing to do so we added it to our itinerary. The really cool thing is that there are 11 tunnels on the trail and it is a 2% downgrade the whole way. The first tunnel was really neat, it’s a mile and half long and completely dark.
